Hong Kong fireworks celebrate upcoming Expo |
A 23-minute fireworks extravaganza lit up the sky of Hong Kong last night, featuring a special chapter dedicated to the upcoming World Expo in Shanghai. |

The annual fireworks show added a splash of color to the Victoria Harbor in celebration of the Chinese New Year, attracting about 400,000 spectators.
Orange, green, golden, red and blue fireworks formed the pattern of "EXPO 2010" in a three-minute chapter designed for the Expo, representing Hong Kong residents' best wishes for the event which runs from May 1 to October 31.
Fireworks also created the shape of number eight and fish, delivering the best wishes of a lucky year of the Tiger. Eight is deemed as a lucky figure in China, while fish symbolizes abundance and auspiciousness.
