Celebrating Canada-China Tourism Day in the 1000 Islands

Chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) Shao Qiwei and his delegation of tourism department leaders, plus 44 tour operators from across China visited Thousand Islands in June 23, 2010. Mayor Frank Kinsella of the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands (TLTI ) had 1,000 welcomes for the Chinese delegation that visited Wednesday as TLTI declared the day Canada-China Tourism Day in the 1000 Islands.

EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival

We are pleased to announce that the Eighth Annual EAT! Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival will launch on May 28 - 30, 2010 at it's brand new home: the recently opened Vancouver Convention Centre - West, the acclaimed new, state of the art addition to the existing Vancouver Convention Centre at Canada Place in the heart of Vancouver. (Our former home, BC Place will be replacing it's roof starting in March 2010. All events had to relocate during construction.)

A delegation of 42 Canadian tour operators and travel writers recently traveled to China with China National Tourist Office and cosponsors of Air China, Air Canada and China Eastern Airlines to attend China International Travel Mart 2009 and The group of 29 guests also visited Kaifeng , Longmen Grottoes and Shaolin Temple as Henan Fam.

Shenyang International Tourism Festival Ceremoniously Opens
|

With 20 uniquely decorated tourism cars slowly pulling into the Shenyang Olympic Stadium, the 48-day Shenyang International Tourism Festival ceremoniously opened in the evening of Aug. 28. Present at the openning ceremony included Wang Zhifa, Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), Zeng Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Liaoning ing Provincial Committee and Secretary of Shenyang Municipal Committee of the CPC, as well as Zhao Guohong, Vice Governor of Liaoning Province.
