China National Tourist Office, Toronto (CNTO Toronto) is one of the overseas offices of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), and one of the three offices located in North America, with the other two at New York and Los Angeles. CNTA is the national governmental tourism organization directly affiliated to the State Council. The responsibility of CNTA is to promote and administer China¡¯s tourism industry. In addition to overseas offices, CNTA has tourism administrations and bureaus in provincial and municipal levels.
CNTO Toronto is a non-profit official organization. Its mission is to develop and promote all aspects of tourism to China within Canada. It is responsible for educating both the general public and the travel industry about China, which is achieved through travel trade shows, consumer shows, seminars and FAM trips.
CNTO Toronto assists travel agents and tour operators in selling China to Canadians by providing them with sales tools including travel brochures, videos, displays and other materials. CNTO Toronto also provides travel brochures, maps and general information to the public.
